I can imagine how annoying it can be when our orders show up late or not how we had requested them. I have gone through stress myself and I realize how harmful it can be to trust between a business and a customer. Today’s buyers, much like me, get used to immediate delivery and neat packaging every single time.

4. Delivery Confirmation:
After shipment, I send a confirmation email or text so customers know their item is on the way and delivered safely.
There are different types of fulfillment I’ve tried depending on my business stage:

In-house fulfillment: I store, pick, and ship everything myself. It’s cost-effective but time-consuming for me as a solo owner.

Third-party logistics (3PL): I work with a fulfillment center. They handle packing and delivery, which saves me a lot of time.

Dropshipping: I sell the product, but the supplier ships it. I avoid inventory costs, but I have less control over speed and accuracy.
Once I understood these types and stages, it became easier to improve my fulfillment system. My customers noticed the difference quickly.

The ideal rate for online orders go one step ahead. It ensures that every order was delivered both punctually and error-free with no problems from customers.
This measure takes into account how fast, smart and satisfied the customers are. When I make fewer mistakes, I’m sure the whole process is well-managed.
Inventory Turnover:
It provides me with an indication of how fast I run out of and replace what I sell. If I don’t sell much inventory, it shows I have been holding it for too long. It uses two important resources that any business depends on.

I wasn’t able to build something as big as they are, but I used their approach to barcodes, warehouses and dashboards.

I had a discussion with a business owner last year who offers eco-friendly items for the home on the internet. There were so many orders to process and errors in delivering them. Her team chose the wrong things, the shipments arrived delayed and they could not manage their stock.
